About
Dr. Cimenna Chao-Rebolledo is the founder of EdCARE, a company committed to assisting schools, families, and organizations incorporating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into their practices and learning communities. She has collaborated with educational institutions, educational ministries, and corporations worldwide to facilitate SEL implementation. This includes training educators and leadership teams, as well as developing national curricula and instructional SEL resources to enhance their educational strategies.

An experienced educator, Dr. Chao-Rebolledo serves as a faculty member at Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO) in Mexico City, where she educates future teachers, pedagogues, and psychologists in Emotional Intelligence and SEL. Her extensive research in the field of education focuses on SEL implementation, the Emotional Intelligence of educational actors, teacher training, and school climate.

Dr. Chao-Rebolledo earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental and Educational Psychology from the National Autonomous University in Mexico and holds an M.A. in Psychology from New York University. She is also the founding director of the International Journal of Social and Emotional Learning and Wellbeing and a founding member of the International Network of Social and Emotional Education and Wellbeing (RIEEB).

She began her career as a special education teacher and later became a tenured university professor at IBERO's School of Education. She is a recognized international advisor on SEL, working with agencies such as OEI, UNICEF, UNESCO, and the UNDP.
